The Conflict between Idealism and Insolvency
You are in the "sandwich generation." You are the primary support for a sick partner, a high-needs child, and an ageing parent. Simultaneously, you hold a demanding job to pay the bills.
The Demand: Everyone needs you. The requests are valid. The love is real.
The Reality: You are sleeping 4 hours a night. You are physically exhausted ($S_{res} \approx 0$).
The Feeling: When you consider taking a break or doing less, you feel crushing Guilt. You tell yourself, "I should be able to do this."
The Goal ($C$): Be the perfect provider (Meet all needs).
The Resources ($Z$): 80 units of Energy/day.
The Cost: 120 units of Energy/day.
The Conflict:
Ethics ($E$): "It is wrong to neglect them."
Feasibility ($Z$): $80 - 120 = -40$.
This is an Insolvency Event.
In finance, if you spend more than you have, you go bankrupt. In physiology, if you spend more energy than you have, you suffer System Collapse (illness, burnout, breakdown).
The Guilt you feel is a "Calibration Error." Your Ethics filter ($E$) is demanding a transform ($T_{perfect}$) that your Feasibility filter ($Z$) has already rejected.
The Logic: "Ought implies Can." If you cannot do it (physically), the moral obligation to do it dissolves. Driving the system into collapse helps no one; a hospitalized caretaker provides 0 units of care.
Status: MANDATORY TRIAGE.
The transform $T_{perfect}$ is INADMISSIBLE (Z-Failed).
You must adopt a Triage Transform ($T_{survival}$).
This requires distinguishing between:
Hard Constraints: Safety, food, medicine.
Soft Constraints: Homemade meals, a tidy house, exceeding expectations at work.
You must ruthlessly cut the Soft Constraints. This is not "giving up"; it is the only mathematical way to preserve the Hard Constraints.
Guilt is often a False Signal.
Kalionism gives you permission to be "good enough." When you "quiet quit" or serve a frozen dinner, you are not failing; you are balancing the books. You are preventing the crash that would fail everyone.
